Table Libraries Evaluation A series of user testing sessions were conducted to demonstrate the progressive prototype designs of Table Libraries and their implementation throughout the platform. The insights gathered from these tests allowed us to make informed decisions regarding removing extraneous information that was considered unnecessary. This process ultimately led to a streamlined and optimized design.
Presentation Readout. The readout incorporated the customer's voice by capturing direct quotes from users. This allowed for objective and emotional feedback, providing a more comprehensive understanding of customer needs.
Comparison: Tabs vs. Dropdowns. The mobile designs followed the desktop platform's UX where appropriate, but in many cases, alternative designs had to be employed. In this particular instance, we investigated whether users would opt for scrolling tabs or prefer dropdowns, and it was found that dropdowns were the preferred design.
Filtering and Sorting. Numerous design iterations underwent user testing in the context of filters and sorting. These tests provided insights into participant behavior concerning the volume of displayed data, the importance of alert severity, and the varied user preferences when interacting with the primary platform application. Ultimately, the design approach integrated these elements into a single screen, a modification that received favorable feedback from mobile users.
Insights Capturing Tool. A Google sheet was used to capture highlights and direct quotes, along with timestamps, from user interviews. Each entry was categorized, allowing for an efficient analysis to identify emerging patterns. This process resulted in a concise and comprehensive summary, effectively synthesizing the user feedback.
Insights Repository. Upon completion of the study, all highlights are inputted into an Insights Repository. This repository is designed to be fully searchable and meticulously sorted across all product features, thereby establishing a centralized, one-stop source for comprehensive product insights. This arrangement not only enhances accessibility but also streamlines the process of deriving actionable intelligence from the accumulated data.
